We have ten highly qualified vets and seven qualified nurses who uphold high nursing standards for our hospitalized cases. We take an on-going approach to professional development and all members of staff regularly attend training courses.

All our staff share a common goal of working to ensure as long, healthy and active a life for your pet as possible.

Veterinary Surgeon - Clinical Director

I joined the practice in April 2008 and have an interest in ophthalmology, surgery and reptiles. I graduated from Liverpool University in 2006 after completing a Zoology degree and Veterinary school. I have 2 beautiful little girls – the light of my life, born on fireworks night 2011 and a cheeky border collie. I have recently passed my Certificate in Ophthalmology March 2017.

Veterinary Surgeon - Clinical Director

Qualified from Cambridge in 2003. Worked in mixed practice for two and a half years before joining Cibyn in 2006. I have developed a keen interest in medicine and in September 2012 gained my RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Internal Medicine. I perform many of the ultrasound scanning investigations. Outside work I enjoy running, hill walking, skiing and knitting.

Achieved both my ambitions in 2004 when I graduated as a vet from Liverpool University and moved to North Wales. I particularly enjoy Critical and Emergency Care. I have been promoted to senior vet and assist the clinical directors with decision making and work. I work hard but play equally hard, climbing, mountaineering and camping in all weathers. I have had the pleasure of owning several dogs and cats and hope to add to this very soon - we shall see ...

Qualified from Liverpool in 1990, and came to join this practice in 1993 when it was still both a mixed practice and in the town centre. I enjoy all aspects of the work, and in my spare time enjoy martial arts.

Qualified from London in 1975, came to work here as a first job then bought the practice with Neil in 1978. Gained an ophthalmology certificate in 1983 and been on the BVA Eye Panel since 1977. Representing north Wales on BVA and now working for RCVS as post graduate dean. Two wonderful grown up daughters.

Graduated from Bristol University in 2008, then worked in a small animal practice in Somerset for two and a half years before joining Cibyn in 2011. Originally to cover Anna’s maternity leave, but then stayed on. I have a keen interest in rabbits and 'small furries' I enjoy gardening, baking and shopping!

I graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2015 and spent two and a half years working in local small animal practices before joining the team at Cibyn. I have an interest in anaesthesia and in exotic animals - especially reptiles. When not at work I spend most of my time bouldering or out in the hills with my two dogs, Eric and Skye. I also live with a grumpy bearded dragon and three snakes.

Helen joined us in October 2016. She graduated from Cambridge University in 2003 and worked in mixed practice in Uttoxeter for 11 years followed by a small animal practice in Bangor. 'I am thoroughly enjoying life in Caernarfon and my Labrador is enjoying the beaches! It is a pleasure working with such an enthusiastic team and meeting the clients and animals. I am currently studying towards a certificate in Small Animal Medicine. In my spare time I enjoy windsurfing, reading and walking.'

Michaela joined the Cibyn veterinary team in 2014. She graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2004 and has worked locally in mixed practice as well as extensive locum work around the United Kingdom. She has just completed a course in Veterinary Acupuncture and looking to do a full certificate.

He is our new graduate vet (qualified in 2012) that started in September 2015. He is from Spain and speaks very good English. Please be patient with him as he learns the ropes here at Cibyn Vets. He will also be recording some consultations for his training purposes. He enjoys rock climbing.

I qualified in 1974 as a RANA which later changed to Veterinary Nurse. I have worked at Cibyn as head nurse since 1992, and have been involved in training nurses to gain their Veterinary Nurse qualification for a number of years. I am married with two grown up children and two grandchildren. In my spare time my husband and I run a smallholding with sheep/pigs/calves etc. and I spend a lot of time walking my dog.

Started as work experience in 2000, commenced employment at Cibyn in 2002. Qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2005, gained BVNA certificate in Veterinary nurse dentistry in 2008. I have also gained a certificate in education to teach in colleges. I also work along side Tegwen assisting with administration.

I became a qualified nurse in 2009 and moved to North Wales (and Cibyn Vets) in 2013. I also have an HND in animal management. I have just started to take on the weight clinic here at Cibyn too. Outside of work I enjoy the outdoors with the ponies and the dog.

I qualified from Coleg Meirion Dwyfor at Glynllifon in summer 2014. Previous to that I studied on the Animal Care course in Llandrillo yn Rhos. I have completed my Level 4 Advanced Diploma in Canine Behaviour and am now taking on clients in need of dog behaviour help.

Joined the Cibyn team as a receptionist in 2010. I also started training at Cibyn Grooming in 2011 and gained City and Guilds Level 2 Dog Grooming qualification in 2012. I now share my time between reception and specialise in cat grooming. The family share their home with several Maine Coon cats.

I am originally from Llanrug but now live on the Isle of Anglesey. I graduated from UWIST in 1986 with a degree in pharmacy and worked in the hospital sector. My love of animals instigated a career change. I worked for a mixed practice vets, then joined the Cibyn team as receptionist in May 2018. I enjoy spending time with my dogs (Dot & Gel) and looking after my flock of Hill Radnor sheep. I love to go skiing.

Gained my HND in Hotel and Catering Management and worked in the industry for a few years before joining the practice in 2001. First in charge of stock and working on the reception, then in 2002 started to work as the practice manager. I have four children, enjoy baking and swimming.
