We have a team of three Dog Groomers working here at Cibyn Veterinary Clinic - Jemma, Lisa & assistant April. We train all of our groomers up to City and Guilds Level 2 standard.

The grooming salon is open 5 days a week and some Saturdays.

All sizes and breeds of dogs are catered for from the largest Newfoundland down to tiny ‘Teacup’ Yorkshire Terriers.

All appointments include a pre-bath brush out with a preliminary clip and/or trim if needed. This is followed by a minimum of two baths with conditioning if appropriate, a blow dry, a second clip and/or scissor trim with styling, the cutting of nails and the plucking of ear canal hair where necessary. Hand stripping is also available.

We stock a wide range of shampoos for different coat types, including medicated shampoos for sensitive skins.

Prices are based on the time required to groom the dog as well as the breed, the owner’s preferences and the style required. A matted dog will take longer to groom than one with a knot free coat. Our groomers will do their utmost to tailor the groom to the owner’s requirements but the dog’s individual needs are always taken into consideration. Puppies or nervous dogs are welcome to be introduced to the grooming process gradually. The groomers are always happy to give advice on style, coat care, grooming problems, grooming frequency etc.

The grooming salon has full veterinary back up at all times.
